Last Sunday, we decided to eat lunch at Mission Taco on Delmar. Oh my goodness, that place is so yummy. I’ll save a review for another post, because I really want to share my experience at the recently opened coffee shop next door. We spent an hour or two after lunch wandering up and down the Loop, peeking in the quirky shops.
To warm up, we made our last stop at Blueprint Coffee. What a hip place! The cortadas we ordered were beyond delicious. I’m not a coffee connoisseur, but it seemed like they legitimately cared about brewing a beautiful, flavorful cup of legal addictive stimulants for us.
Designers of the store had created a sharp, clean atmosphere. Walls and furnishings are composed of streamlined textures of wood, tile, reclaimed metal, and concrete. Sea blue, pops of green plants, and cool colors contrast deliciously with the caramel brown cup. Blueprint’s branding was definitely on point. Although we loved our little date there, the space seems conducive for productivity as well. I liked that the menus were printed and handed to me to peruse instead of scrawled high above in mysterious handwriting, like most coffee shops. The front seating area is flooded with natural light and is perfect for people-watching.
